Elara and her younger brother, Marrun, were inseparable companions, drawn to the allure of the surrounding mountains. Despite their parents' repeated warnings against venturing too far from the safety of their village, the siblings' thirst for adventure and the breathtaking vistas beyond the mountain peaks proved too strong to resist. Elara's idyllic childhood in the peaceful village of Olka was abruptly shattered when she was just fourteen years old. The tranquility was shattered by the sudden invasion of Raivern's ruthless army. The village, branded as a den of evil, was mercilessly burned to the ground. The carnage was devastating, claiming the lives of countless villagers, including Elara's beloved parents and her cherished brother. In a swift and merciless act, they razed Raivern to the ground, exterminating its entire population. Captured by the victorious Orecanians, Elara endured a life of brutal servitude, violated and degraded. Yet, amidst this despair, she gave birth to Marru, a flicker of hope in the suffocating darkness. But this fragile light was swiftly extinguished, plunging Elara back into the abyss of suffering. Pope Francis. The Holy Father. The Righteous One, they call him. The one who personally oversaw Elara's enslavement. Who dares to call himself a man of God. The church, guarded by holy knights, is situated in the eastern part of Orecania. Orecania, the largest landmass on the Faerie continent, presented a grim spectacle. The capital city was marred by the sight of numerous Beastkin and heretic corpses hanging from public displays. To add to the macabre atmosphere, stages were erected throughout Orecania, where the ritualistic burning of heretics served as a primary form of public entertainment for the inhabitants.
